If you've heard this before ...you may agree, or you may reject it. Or you may simply not care. But, I think it is important enough to repeat.

The sociologist, Smith, in his book, Souls in Transition and Lost in Transition, identified five disturbing patterns found in emerging adults.

He argued that they are:

  • Morally adrift – their morals are personal and subjective
  • Captive to consumerism
  • Have little civic and political engagement
  • Believe that sex is not a moral issue
  • Engage in intoxication, or fake feeling of happiness

Young American born-again believers are moving away from a biblically-centered worldview, with only one in three affirming that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, according to Steve Cable, senior vice president of Probe Ministries and author of Cultural Captives: The Beliefs and Behavior of American Young Adults.

Only 1 in 3 Young Born-Again Evangelicals Believe Jesus Is Only Way to Heaven, Apologist Says.

Eric Metaxas shared what one student who has left the faith once said: "Christianity is something that if you really believed it, it would change your life and you would want to change [the lives] of others. And I haven't seen too much of that."

Dr. Steve McSwain blogged, “Six Things Christians Should Just Stop Saying,” saying that we need to quit saying “Jesus is the only way to heaven.”

Tolerance today means “everybody is equally right.”

There are many common rationalizations, but the truth is that they are just common lies.

Jesus said,"I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." (John 14:6)
